Comment Love for April 2008
1.05.08 @ 9:45 amEven with less posting after mid-April due to the ramp up for next month’s special Comment Love, we still managed to generate $16.50 thanks to 33 comments. All $16.50 was donated to KQED.
I was really surprised by the amount of comments that came in - more surprising were the articles they came from. I am hoping to spend more time actually analyzing patterns on participation on this blog so I can create content that interests more people yet sticks to the format and niche that I wish to focus in.
Stay tuned for this upcoming month, there should be a lot to see here.

I’ve been watching a lot of KQED lately. This is such an under-appreciated but fantastic TV station with really thoughtful programming. Here’s a few of the shows I’ve watched in the past two months.
-History of WWII
-Check Please Bay Area (Regular people review local restaurants)
-Madame Butterfly at the New York Opera
-A documentary on photographer Annie Lebovitz
-A documentary about a theory on how racism causes health complications in African American women
I guess I’m just a ‘couch potato’.

My wife and I can’t watch it, but I’ve heard about some of the great programming coming out from them. That being said, we’re KQED radio addicts. It starts off our morning and ends off our night.

KQED is fortunately one of the only stations I can catch. Definitely addicting programming. You feel like you’ve not wasted your time and actually learned something.

Yeah, there’s far worse stations you could be stuck with.
