Comment Love for March 2008
2.04.08 @ 10:24 amIt was another bitter-sweet month for this blog. March 2008 had the highest total of return visitors ever and RSS subscriptions are continuing to increase at a healthy rate. Still, March had only 22 comments which ended up totaling just $11.00. All $11.00 was donated to Carbonfund.
With this month’s contribution, we offset 5,680 miles driven from a car with the average miles per gallon (25.2 mpg) or roughly 2 tons of C02 according to Carbonfund’s calculator.
I have no doubt that these lack of comments have a lot to do with the fact that the format of posts has had a less open-ended format than usual. Unfortunately, this stems from a lack of time. Still, if you like this program, please let your friends about this feature. Hopefully we will hit something closer to $50 soon.

$0.00 in Comment Love for July
Seeing as you said my comment from last month was the “best comment ever”, i kind of feel like it was worth more the 50 cents. At least 80 cents or possibly even a dollar. Hope that helps.

$0.00 in Comment Love for July
Ah got it. I didn’t quite understand the concept! I spotted the banner at the top of the page but never had any reason to dig deeper. I’ve never been a participant of micropayment schemes and assumed that’s what it was. I’ll try to comment more now!
BTW, fantastic site!

Steven - I believe that all comments were created equal. Your commend definitely was an over-achiever, but I cannot begin treating it any different than its fellow comments.
That being said, please keep leaving over-achieving comments…
Brent - Thanks so much for the comment as this sheds some light on how the Comment Love project still isn’t completely understood. Thanks so much for the kind words, it really does mean a lot when people say they like this site.
