Weekly Photograph - Accordion Player
28.06.07 @ 11:04 amThis was one of the few (if any) portrait shots that turned out during our trip to Boston. I was very happy with the richness in the tones of this photo.
This photo was the first picture I took where I actually felt comfortable taking a person's picture with their consent. I know, that does not seem like a very big deal, but it was huge for me. I shot this in color slide film and converted it to black and white with Photoshop. I wish there was a black and white slide film on the market, but no such thing exists. I liked the process and results so much that I am mulling a permanent change in that direction.
Johannes Jarolim's Wordpress photoblog plugin is now working absolutely beautiful over at 36clicks and so I will most likely start taking the images straight from my photoblog in order to have more integration and cooperation between both of my blogs. At this point, I have done a horrendous job of integrating the two blogs to work together - and it shows in the lack of subscriptions. Still, it is coming together slowly.
