Before I would look at my web stats and just see if the number of visits were higher than the day before. Recently, I have really started to analyze my numbers and try to pull some meaning from them. Right now, my visit to page view ratio is much lower than I'd want it to be. I have no doubt that this is directly related to the lack of content on the home page and the lack of links on post pages. While I want to keep my site simple and unobtrusive, I also need to take into consideration the notion that people may <em>want</em> additional links to click through, and I am not providing them. I am going to be doing a lot of thinking, sketching, discussing and reading before I make any huge changes. Until then, the three links on the home page is a small test to see if the visit to page view ratio improves. Actually, we should chat about ideas. I'd love to hear any feedback or thoughts.
