Weekly Photograph - Man On a Stool
28.07.07 @ 11:42 pmThis was yet another photograph from the Fillmore Jazz Festival - I only took two rolls while I was there, but I was lucky enough to get quite a few nice shots. Despite the unfavorable afternoon lighting for black and white, the subject made this still shine for me.
I am nearing the point where I will either carry two cameras - one for color, the other for black and white (depending on the weather and lighting) - or I simply will spend the majority of my photo outings during dusk or dawn. Nonetheless, I am just glad I was able to get this shot at all - I just wish the lighting would have been a bit more favorable. The harsh afternoon sun left far too strong of shadows over the bill of this man's hat, partially hiding the great expression on his face. If this shot would have been taken two or three hours earlier or later, this would be one of my favorite photos.
