This Week’s Weekly Links of the Week - Week 6
25.06.06 @ 9:08 pm
I present this week’s list with no organization and, once again, no theme. Still, some very pertinent, funny and useful links for all your blokes. Enjoy.
- The Blog Bit Me
- My wife has decided to start blogging and she has gone at it with a reckless abandon. I actually am taken aback at how quickly she has gone from no web design experience to handling her own blog. For every post I make, she has eight or nine - it is pretty amazing. We will be putting a design around this blog in the coming weeks, but you might want to keep your eye out on this blog as I think it is going to be quite cool.
- FJax
- FJax claims to be “an open, lightweight, cross-browser methodology for Ajax-style web 2.0 development”. It seems very interesting and is worth a seriously look. Hat tip to Yousuf for the link.
- Dickishness - One Good Move
- A hilariously Daily Show clip on how good ‘ol partisan childishness has oozed into, you guessed it, softball.
- Net Neutrality: This is serious - Decentralized Information Group
- OK, when Tim Berners-Lee says that Net Neutrality is essential to the future of the internet, people should listen. Anyone that thinks the Telecoms are not acting out of anything but greed are highly mistaken.
- The Fast Track to Slowing Down - youmeworks.com
- This is something that I am starting to devote some time to. I think we all know how stressful the working world can be nowadays. I intend on not letting stress run my life…
- Visual JQuery
- A Visual Guide to JQuery. These sorts of online tools really get me excited about what is around the corner for the web. Very cool stuff.
- Typenav
- It may not be the most technologically current web tool, but it is an absolutely great feature by Font Shop to allow you to visually navigate through visual typographical elements to find the font you desire. If only we could add Visual JQuery’s functionality with this tool…
- Heavy Backpack
- A very nice design blog - they say it so much better than me:
This site is a creative catalogue. A showcase of the shit hot, and a space to promote talent in art, design, and moving image. - The Hitler vs. Coulter Quiz - Give Up
- Most people admit that Ann Coulter is the embodiment of evil nowadays. Nonetheless, it is always good to be reminded of the reasons why her ideology is a bit Nazi-ish. As funny as it is sad.
- Joe Kral Needs Help
- This guy has been through hell and he really could use our help. If you have a few extra dollars kicking around, please help him out with a donation.
- Top 20 Blog Designs - SilentBits
- A very nice list of blog designs from some very nice bloggers. However, I think he accidentally left one particular blog off the list.
- Force Twelve
- Some very nice print work in this guy’s portfolio.
- Ask a Ninja
- Because, seriously, who else would be better suited to answer life’s questions?
AJAX, ann coulter, ask a ninja, blog, blog design, fjax, font shop, heavy backpack, joe kral, jquery, links, net neutrality, silentbits, slowing down, stress, tim berners lee, typenav weekly
