Sigh...
Well, things are back to normal at the job now. The boss is back from vacation and Yousuf is pretty much done with his work there...
Summer is coming soon and I'm really hoping to do something special. I don't know what it's going to be just yet, but I want it to be out of the ordinary.
Speaking of out of the ordinary, some of the ideas I have for my portfolio site could be quite different. All of them stem from using real-world data as well as recorded data from the site to impact the form/apperance of the interface. I have lots of ideas and quite a few friends that are willing to lend a helping hand, so it may just get done one of these days....
Let's hope...

Steps away from 'Over the hump'
Almost there... I still have some things I'd like to do around the house and there are still plenty of projects that need to get done, but the madness is almost over...
I have learned a plethora or information in a very short amount of time including a dramatic increase in knowledge of Actionscript, Javascript, XML, XSLT, not including all the work with Cyclone I've done in the past month.
That being said, if I don't learn anything else in the next couple months, I won't be upset at all. Breaktime is near...

XML/ActionScript goodness
Well, it was about a 14 hour day today, but Yousuf and I pretty much finished up a Flash-based presentation piece with an XML backend for editing & customization.
Pretty rad stuff. There are a ton of other things I'd like to work on for this project, but I don't think time will permit that. Even without my desired tweaks, the piece works pretty damned slick.
Yay for us.

LOL
I'm successfully driving Yousuf Haq to the ends of sanity. It's quite enjoyable.

Coding, coding, coding
As of late, I've spent a lot more of my design time tinkering with both Actionscript & Javascript. While niether are the hardest of languages to learn, it's still always a bit of a challenge to throw down working code in a new language.
Hopefully these projects will line my pockets with a little cash so I can have some free time to work on some fun projects. :)

Just about done
Man, the moving situation is finally just about done. Still have some cleaning and miscelanous crap to take care of, but that shouldn't be a big idea.
I may someday have a chance to actually add some design to to this blog. Who knows...

Connect the dots!
I've been registering the exterior of a French cathedral for the last week. My brain is mush... The new place is starting to come together but it's still an absolute mess at this point which I hope to fix by the end of the week.
I miss my internet at home. :(

Moving extravaganza!
CRAZY weekend. Packing, moving, driving and cleaning. Absolutely nuts the entire weekend. My life will be back to normal in about a week though when I'll have my couch, my bed and my internet (the latter being the most important of course).
I'm going to have to work my ass off for the next couple weeks too b/c I dropped quite a large chunk of change on furniture. I'm going to be rockin' the Cup O' Noodles for a while...
