During some preliminary work on an upcoming photography article, I had been going through the normal process of taking the RAW format photos from our digital SLR to JPEGs to put on the site. Somewhere through that process I happened to notice a large discrepancy between the colors of my original RAW format photos to the resulting JPEG images. Frankly, I do not know why it took me so long to notice such dramatic differences - my only thought is that I rarely examine the saved JPEG to the original photo. Either way, I was pretty disgusted with what I saw and so I thought I would try to do something to fix it.

UPDATE: More voter disenfranchisement is going on. It is nice to see public personalities like Laura Ingram outrightly encouraging people to flood voter oversight hotlines with prank calls. If you want to lose a couple IQ points, listen to this genius.
UPDATE 2: Our press, doing a heckuva job.
UPDATE 3: Looks like we are very close to having a blue House and Senate. Big changes no doubt await us.
If you live in the states, perform your civic duty and vote! If you have not registered to vote, then get off your butt and do it for the next election. By all means, drop a comment to tell us if you’ve voted and if so, how the process went. There have been a lot of bad stories going on about the voting process this year - share your thoughts/concerns.2006, blue, cnn, democrat victories, election, house of represenatives, Laura Ingram, midterm elections, prank calls, press, senate, vote, voter disenfranchisement voting

August 29th, 2006My last two photos were extremely dark, low exposed shots. I notice that I tend to naturally drift in that direction as it is, so I recently have been trying to push myself to take brighter photos. This particular shot is about as bright of a shot as I have taken.
