I have been making the mistake far too long of taking photos during normal afternoon hours. When I go out during the early morning or late afternoon, the results are horrendously better than normal.

This photo was taken from almost the exact same spot as last week's photo. I loved the stark contrast and the geometric repetition found in this scene. The shadows are quite nice as well.

I have this problem of taking pictures of people. I just cannot get past this layer of uncomfortability that I feel when pointing a camera at someone I do not know very well. Perhaps deep down inside, I agree with the Native Americans that photos do steal the souls of their subject. I am trying to get past this - in its own bizarre way, this was a step in that direction.
