Something is going on today because I have gotten roughly 80 comments that have made it through Akismet today - I cannot imagine how many Akismet has actually caught… I am posting this to see if any of you bloggers out there are experiencing the same thing. If so, does anyone use an extra anti-spam tool for cases such as this?akismet, bloggers, comment spam, comments spam

I Am Getting Overtaken By Comment Spam Today
June 7th, 2007This Week’s Weekly Links of the Week - Week 53
June 1st, 2007
I know, it is shocking - I actually posted the weekly links on time. We are heading out for the weekend (again) and I am not going to be graced with an internet connection, so I wanted to make sure to post these links before I headed out. Enjoy your beautiful internet connection by surfing through these links while I lie in the fetal position, sobbing like a baby that I am without my DSL connection. See you all next week.
Enjoy the links.

This Week’s Weekly Links of the Week - Week 52
May 28th, 2007
It is a shame that the 52nd week of the weekly links was delivered late. Considering how bad I have been about this feature lately, it is not much of a surprise however. Still, one year of links is pretty impressive - I honestly cannot believe that it has already been that long. I would love to celebrate the anniversary by getting a ton of extra links dropped in the comments. How about it?
Enjoy the links.

Designing Good - Collection 30
May 24th, 2007I finally was able to get a couple web design links in this collection - and I find them to be the two best. The first, ReCaptcha, uses anti-spam technology to also help digitize books. The second, Full Code Press uses a web competition to help non-profits get a new website. Both are well worth checking out.
Enjoy the links.

If a Post is Written and No One Reads It, Did It Ever Exist?
January 10th, 2007Promoting your own site can be a tricky thing. You obviously want people to visit your site, but you do not want to be labeled a spammer in the process. There is a very fine line to be walked when promoting your own site - and I am not the one to give advice on how it should be done. What I can say, however, is that we all be lenient towards self-promotion. If not, we might end up missing out on a lot of great new content on the web - and it just might be from your site.
